The Science of Romance

Decade of data collection have shown that marriage-for all its challenges-is like a health-insurance policy. Smoking and drinking naturally decline if you've got a spouse at your side flashing you a don't-you-dare look when you reach for a cigarette or a tird glass of wine. Depression and other emotional ills are less likely to go undiagnosed if there's someone at home who's mindful of your moods and notices if they darken.

Stranger Than Fiction

Stranger Than Fiction has broken the image I had on the protagonist Will Ferrell. He used to often play a part in the comedies. And the way he conveyed those funny points was actually quite disgusting for me. However, after seeing this movie, he totally change it.

World Trade Center

This movie was not what I thought it would be at all. I thought that it would be a cliche heroic movie, Nicolas Cage being the savior to save the victims trapped in the debris of the building. However, it was not. In fact, Nicolas Cage was actually the man trapped in the wreckage, which made this movie more dramatic than normal disaster film.
The most emotional part was the wives of these officer who were worried about their husbands' safety. They didn't know whether their husbands were alive or not. Despite their anxiety, they kept doing their daily thing and did not let the catastrophe affect their children. The conflict in their mind must be very hard for them to hide. I almost cried when I saw they hold back their tears in their eyes and smile at their children. It was really heartbreaking.

My New Notebook

After a long boring week, I finally bought my new notebook. It totally cost me about NT$23200 with the 2GB ram, 160GB HD. It was quite worthy to buy the device of the price. I finally got a notebook. I can bring it home on holidays. And the most important advantage is it looks fancy.

Calvin Klein

It is really hard to find a Calvin Klein store in Taipei. At least, not in the places I went before. I thought that Shinkong Mitukoshu might have a Calvin Klein's counter. But there is not. Even they have a counter, they only sale accessories, not underwears.
Why do I want to buy an underwear in Calvin Klein? It is because that Harrison's birthday is coming. Thus, Snoopy and I decided to give him an Calvin Klein's underwear which is not cheap at all. I cost me nearly a thousand dollars to buy one. However, since Harrison and we are such great friends, we had to buy one.
After searching on the Internet, I finally found out there is one near the Chongshun MRT station. So with my wallet fulled of little children, I went to Chongshun to find the store. To my surprise, the Calvin Klein store is actually a counter on the second floor in the EDEE department store. No wonder however hard I tried to find the signboard, it just did not occur to me. Anyway, I ultimately got to the counter, and bought the underwear I need. This is how it looks like. (I originally wanted to buy a triangle type's underwear. But as soon as Harrison is concerned, I gave up. He will definitely refuse to wear a triangle type though it looks much better.)
Actually, it is what I hope it will be. Nevertheless, the price for the pure color ones are just too much for me. I did not bring so much money to the store. So I had to pick not so beautiful one. Still it looks nice with the brand mark on the birdle. Hope Harrison will like it.
